: G20 ഉച്ചകോടിക്കെതിരെ സിവിൽ സമൂഹ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളും ദളിത് ആദിവാസി മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളി ഫെമിനിസ്റ്റ് കർഷക സംഘടനകളും സംയുക്തമായി പ്രതിഷേധ പരിപാടി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. കൊച്ചിയിൽ ഗാന്ധി സ്മൃതിയിൽ നടന്ന പ്രതിഷേധ പരിപാടിയിൽ വിവിധ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പ്രവർത്തകർ പങ്കെടുത്തു. കർഷകരേയും, ദലിത്- ആദിവാസികളെയും ന്യൂനപക്ഷ വിഭാഗങ്ങളെയും മത്സ്യതൊഴിലാളികളെയും കച്ചവടക്കാരെയും പരിസ്ഥിതിയേയും ദോഷകരമായി ബാധിക്കുന്ന സാമ്പത്തിക പരിഷ്കരണ പദ്ധതികൾ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്ന G20 ഉച്ചകോടി ജനാധിപത്യവിരുദ്ധമാണ് എന്ന് WE20 കേരളം അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.

We20, G 20 पर जन सम्मेलन जिसे देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से 70 संगठनों ने सामूहिक रूप से आयोजित किया था, उत्साह और ऊर्जा के साथ समाप्त हुआ, हालांकि दिल्ली पुलिस के दबाव के कारण इसे एक दिन पहले समाप्त कर दिया गया, क्योंकि दिल्ली पुलिस ने तीसरे दिन की गतिविधियों को जारी रखने की अनुमति देने से इनकार कर दिया।

Over 500 delegates from West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan and other parts of the country, representing people’s movements, trade unions and Civil Society Organisations came together at the Inaugural program at We20: Peoples’ Summit on G20 today in New Delhi. The Summit saw participation from Teesta Setalvad, Medha Patkar, Jayati Ghosh, Manoj Jha, Harsh Mander, Arun Kumar, Brinda Karat, Hannan Mollah, Rajeev Gowda among others.

At the press conference organized by the Concerned Citizens of India at the Foreign Correspondents' Club, the release of the public hearing report shed light on the harrowing experiences of forced evictions across India in preparation for the G20 summit. The report was addressed by Senior Journalist Pamela Philipose, Human Rights Activist Harsh Mander, Former Deputy Mayor of Shimla Tikender Panwar and community leaders Shakeel Abdul and Akbar.

The 13th BRICS Summit, chaired by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by Brazil President Jair Bolsanaro, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping was held in a virtual format yesterday.
