About the Tribunal:

The Independent People’s Tribunal on the World Bank/IMF @ 80 will bring a critical focus on the World Bank and IMF’s influence in India and across the Global South. As these institutions mark 80 years, people’s movements and organisations under the Working Group on International Financial Institutions have come together to examine the cross-sectoral impacts of their projects on India’s economic and political sovereignty. Through testimonies, case studies, and a formal chargesheet, the tribunal aims to expose how IFI-funded projects have affected communities, heightened inequality, and shaped India’s development trajectory.
